I absolutely loved this debut novel by Loretta Rothschild; it's one of the best books I've read this year. The story grabs your attention from the very beginning with a surprising event that will leave you shaken. The book centers around a love story involving Honor and Tom, a successful couple with a beautiful daughter named Chloe. Their life seems picturesque, and they have everything anyone could want, except they are unable to have another child, which Honor desperately desires. Then, an unimaginable event occurs that pulls you deeper into the story. This story captivated me from the start. I appreciated the writing, the characters, and the moral dilemmas that make you question everything. The themes of heartache, love, friendship, and marriage are beautifully intertwined. Don't miss this one; it would make for a great book club discussion! |
